With article marketing, a number of links to other sites can be inserted into it and providing there aren’t too many you will not be penalized. When your articles are good, they get spread around the internet and of course each version will have links back to your own so the more links you have, the more your ranking will grow. Sometimes, however, search engines can take some time before they actually list your site, Although you cannot rush the search engines directly, submitting more articles and using the authority sites will help enormously.

Article marketing helps to improving the ranking of a site but in addition to this it also helps increase the amount of content at the same time which again improves rank. For the most part, people who are directed to your website are not expecting to buy or be sold anything. The majority of visitors are just searching for more information about something. This is the ideal time to highlight the benefits of the product or service to the visitor. It is important they understand why they are buying a product so this process is important. The last thing you want after making the sale is to return the money so by doing carrying out this process you lessen your chance of it happening.

Article marketing this way will ensure you will always get new visitors and retain existing ones, This does require you to understand that all of this cannot be achieved with just one article. An additional benefit from writing quality articles is that other website owners will either link to your site or use your articles on their own site, each time your article is duplicated on other sites it increases the number of people who can use it. There are no charges to article marketing and is still the number one way to get traffic to your site, With relevant, quality unique articles, visitors will keep returning.

Writing for Success

Writing success – what does that mean to you and how can you achieve it? The first thing is to define the term.

Is a novelist a “success”? How about a local newspaper reporter? A syndicated columnist? If you’re published on-line are you successful? Is success measured in bylines or by the size of your paycheck? Once you figure that out, you can take steps to achieve your definition of success.

Now that you’ve defined what success means you can take the steps necessary to achieve it. Regardless of which pinnacle of success you choose, here are some steps to reach that summit:

1. Are you going to write a novel? Do you want to write and publish newspaper or magazine articles? If you belong to an organization that provides goods and/or services, there is likely a trade publication in which you might pursue publication. Look around the magazine shelves at your local bookstore and even browse the racks at a nearby grocery store as many publications are offered free on the shelves and may be a good source for publication.

2. Once you’ve chosen which way you want your writing to trend, now you need to study the market. Who publishes the type of work you want to pen? Magazines? On-line sources? Your local newspaper? Pick up a few back issues, thumb through them, analyze the type of pieces they publish and determine whether your writing will be a fit.

3. Does your publication of choice accept unsolicited material? Do they want a query or the entire piece? You can usually find this information at a website for the publication under Writers Guidelines or in a book such as “Writer’s Market.”

4. Is your submission error free? Have you submitted it in the format required? Did you address your submission to an “actual” person rather than a “Dear Editor” letter? Remember, your cover letter is the first impression that editor will have of you and your work.

5. Now that you’ve got that first submission out the door, but wait, don’t stop now! Look for another market. Find a different angle for the piece you’ve written. Querying and having a constant stream of submissions “out there” is a sure-fire way to land an assignment. The more you submit, the higher your chance of publication (it’s a numbers game).

Being a “successful” writer is a very subjective term but to be published at all, you need to send your articles to publications and continue to develop your skills so that you become a go-to writer when an editor has a project in mind.

Self Publishing: How The Dimensions Of Your Book Affect Your Marketing

It’s very important that you, as a self-publishing author, educate yourself about the details of having your book printed including choosing the proper size. Some printers will print and trim your book to almost any size but most stick to three or four common sizes. These are 5″ by 8,” 5.5″ by 8.5,’” 9″ by 6″ and the “standard page” size of 8.5″ by 11.” The largest size is usually reserved for books with a lot of photos, music books that contain sheet music, or workbooks and education materials.

The final page count must be at least 120 pages in order to include the title of your book on the spine. When self-publishing, don’t forget this important point! Even at 120 plus pages, you’ll probably be limited to using a 6- or 8-point font on the spine-probably too small for the title of your book to be read across the room. And a book this size will look a bit small compared to other books in the market.

Probably the most important thing to highlight in book publishing (especially self-publishing) is the final appearance of your masterpiece. A book of 200 pages is of sufficient size to include the book title on the spine and to compete with other books. A low page count project should utilize the smaller dimensions. A difference in half an inch in page size equals approximately ten numbered pages. Put another way, reducing the size of your book (either vertically or horizontally) by a half-an-inch, will add about ten numbered pages to your total page count, giving it more body, more weight, which equates to value.

Are books with more pages more expensive to print? Not necessarily. As a self-publishing author, you have to keep a close eye on how your money is spent. There are many factors that contribute to the printing costs of a book. For example, how they are bound, if they include color, the type of paper used and the number of books ordered. All things remaining the same, more pages means more money. But as an author, you should never compromise your book to save printing costs. In other words, write the book you want to write-don’t “leave things out” just to reduce printing costs. If you are self-publishing, there are other ways to save on printing costs.

A book’s size is a factor in it’s sales numbers. As mentioned above, larger-sized books are usually photo galleries, work books or books containing sheet music (e.g., a music book has to be large enough to be read when placed on a music stand). If your book is mostly text, a smaller size is recommended. Self-published business books and self-help titles can benefit from a smaller size as they are often carted around in backpacks, luggage, and carryons. Think about who will be buying your book and how they will be using it. Make it as easy as possible to get the most out of your self-published title.

Shipping prices vary by carrier so make sure you compare prices and stay current with the latest fee increases. As a self-published writer, it may be smarter to choose a printer who will fulfill and ship your books for you so you can focus on promoting your book.

Writing Great Term Papers the Easy Way

Few things in life are guaranteed. Among them are taxes, death, and for college students, term papers. Nobody gets through college without writing dozens of them. As a result, if you are currently a college student or expect to begin college soon, the following tips can save you time and help you earn far better grades.

In most instances, students are given a fairly wide choice of topics when they are asked to write a paper. By choosing a topic that interests them, and is likely to interest their instructor, a paper is apt to be better researched, better written, and better received.

After doing a bit of research, decide the direction you want your paper to take. Doing so will help you shape your thoughts, select your sources, and move to the next step.

Next, put together a comprehensive outline. The outline needs to be a roadmap for the beginning, the middle, and the end of your paper. Like the paper itself, your outline may need frequent revisions as you move forward.

Once the outline is completed, it is time to begin writing the paper. If your outline was done properly, writing the paper should be fairly simple, albeit time consuming.

Perhaps the most important thing to remember when writing a paper is to back up and save everything you do, including the outline. And, keep all of your papers on your hard drive or a jump drive, even after you turn them in.

Finally, be certain to have someone with solid writing skills read your paper looking for outright errors and ways that your paper might be improved. Although you can and should proofread your papers several times, others are often better at critiquing our work than we are.

Lots of students live in fear of major papers. But, by adhering to the tips above, you can virtually ensure yourself a good grade whenever you are given a major writing assignment.

Voice Writing & Court Reporting?

Court reporting is a career that involves recording the information, testimony, and proceedings of a court case. Since no video cameras are allowed in a courtroom, the court reporter provides the only official record of the proceedings, making this a very important profession, and often one that is paid quite well.

Methods of Court Reporting

Court reporting is not an easy profession, because court reporters must be able to somehow record the information presented in court quickly and accurately, turning it into written transcripts after the day in court is over. In the past, this required professional court reporters to learn the skill of stenotyping. This involved typing using a special typewriter that used symbols to represent spoken sounds, thus reducing the number of keystrokes required to record the information presented in court. This was effective, but took a tremendous amount of training to perfect. The need for this specialized skill is part of the reason that court reporters are paid so well.

What Is Voice Writing?

While stenotyping is still used today, modern court reporters have another option, and that is voice writing. Voice writing involves taking down the information through the spoken word, rather than the typed word. It has been used for a while in conferences and non-court purposes, but is gaining a following in the world of court reporting as well.

Voice writing involves speaking into a silencer that is connected to a laptop computer. The computer has voice recognition software on it, allowing everything the speaker says to be recorded. The silencer keeps the words from being audible to people in the courtroom. The court reporter can then repeat everything that is said, describe people’s reactions, and speak any other details that need to be recorded, and the laptop will translate that into written words. The reporter can then return to the document after the proceedings are over to clean it up and make a presentable copy to deliver to his client. Some voice writing setups also allow the laptop to copy the words spoken by the people in the courtroom along with the commentary from the court reporter.

Is Voice Writing Better?

Voice writing may be a better solution for courtroom records. It tends to deliver a more accurate transcription of the events, particularly when set up to record the actual words spoken in the courtroom. Since people can speak faster than they can type, even with the aid of a stenotyping machine, court reporters using voice writing can record more of the proceedings and their observations than those using traditional methods. It also produces a clearer transcript, so court reporters spend less time editing their final product. This means they can take on more assignments and increase their profits. It also eliminates the possibility of stress injuries, such as carpal tunnel, which are common with professional stenotypists who use their hands repeatedly to earn a living.

One potential downside to voice writing is the fact that it requires highly specialized equipment. Training court reporters about this new way of recording information can be a challenge for some courtrooms. Seasoned court reporters may feel uncomfortable learning a new technology after years of doing things one way. In spite of these downsides, voice writing looks like a promising option for the future of court reporting as a career.
