Top Ideas When Using Email Cover Letters

In the case of email cover letters, the tone of the text is as formal as it would be for paper-based employment cover letters. The chief difference between these two correspondences, however, is the signature block is placed below your name in the email and on paper it is positioned at the top of the page.

An assumption that is sometimes made when making an emailed application is treating it with less formality. While emails may appear less formal than actual letters, such a casual fashion should not be applied when creating an email covering letter. When you reader opens your application, your opening paragraph is always important. The message not only has to both entice hook the reader, but sell them on your abilities. Templates of email cover letters can be quite useful in showing how to present yourself and help avoid careless mistakes and minimize you chances of your message being trashed.

One caveat. Some employers may not accept attachments and so in this situation you’d have to place the contents of your resume and letter into the body of your e-mail message. Ideally use plain text font rather than anything using HTML. This is because some e-mail software packages may not be configured to read HTML formatted messages. As a safeguard, send the message to yourself first to make sure you can see it.

The following are some basic guidelines that should you should think about when you begin composing your own email cover letter templates:

- Always mention how you heard about the position or the organization, and if possible (and appropriate) mention the name of the person who suggested that you apply.

- Particularly focus on the parts of your background, such as education, leadership, experience or anything else that you feel is most pertinent to the job. Be as specific as possible and illustrate example of how they relate the post.

- Try and keep your cover letter to two or three paragraphs within the body of the email. They should be well written for maximum impact, as you only have a few seconds to peak the interest of the employer.

In addition to the use of email cover letters templates, specialist software such as the OneClick Cover Letter and the Breakthrough Cover Letter systems contain a vast range of pre-formatted correspondences (including ones especially designed for sending via email) that provide excellent examples of the kind of compelling language your should be using in order to create an impressive and customized job application.

While email cover letters are convenient, it’s recommended that you also send a formal formatted version of your letter, simply because the employer may want to produce hard copies of the applications of the short-listed candidates for further review. Moreover, you’ll also want to have a printed version of your resume along with your correspondence to take to interviews.

Start Up Writing Articles

Penning down articles may sound like rocket science to you, but if you have the will and a focused attitude, nothing is difficult! There are so many people writing out articles for their favorite columns in the newspaper, for their blogs, for weekly magazines, etc. The main strategy they follow is doing some research on the topic and jotting down the key points.

Employing this strategy demands you to primarily fix the topic on which you are going to write about. If you don’t have a topic at hand, ask your friends for a suggestion and zero in on a topic of your interest. Collect few points before you start writing down.

The next factor which you need to focus upon is the readers of your article. This will decide the way you need to present your article. Say you are doing a piece of writing on “creating a PowerPoint presentation”. If this article is going to be for the business people, then you need to detail more on a lot of advanced features available in PowerPoint. If your readers are small school children you can stop with the basic procedure for creating a presentation.

Getting a deep understanding about the topic before you start writing down is quite necessary. If you have pretty good knowledge on the topic, then you can research for a while and start writing. But if you have no idea on the topic, it is better to make an extensive research on it and understand it clearly before you start. Allocating more time for researching will certainly pay off as you can write with a good flow. Else you need to check for ideas every two minutes.

Another factor of importance is of what length your article is going to be. For instance if you are writing an article for your teacher as an assignment, then probably you would have already been informed on how many words the article needs to contain. In such cases where you have an idea of the length of the article, make sure you write the introduction, body and the conclusion appropriately.

Finally, make sure you review your article as many times as possible. Every good book author always passes their books through editors who check and edit their books. Even though you may have a good command over your language it is always possible that there may be some spelling or grammatical errors in your articles. Also, re-reading your article allows you to make changes in the way you put your point across and improve your article for all your readers.

Rewriting PLR Articles and Ebooks: Who Should Do The Work?

You might very well be able to boost your profitability online by using private label rights products (PLR) such as ebooks and articles. The idea is that by using such resources that are already written and researched, you may speed up the creation of articles and e-books in your online marketing.

The catch, however, is that using such PLR resources is not as fast or painless as many salesmen would like you to believe. It is, in other words, not really a good idea to just buy some off-the-shelf PLR article or ebook, spend a few minutes on it, and then publish it as your own. There is more work involved.

Background

The difficulty is this: to be able to make the most of it, one has to thoroughly edit the Private Label Rights content considerably, not just slightly. This is to ensure that the search engine robots are going to index the text favourably, and to make sure that the customers are not bumping into e-books and articles that they have already read somewhere else.

The idea, then, is to change the material in different ways. One way to do that could be to either rearrange or delete paragraphs. Other ways might be to expand paragraphs and add new points: for example, one might want to add a new argument, some new data, or some new questions and answers. Or one might insert some fresh pictures or photographs that would be useful.

But Where Is the Time?

But perhaps are you now asking the question: “How in the whole world will I practically have time to do that? I mean, I acquired the PLR products in the first place to steer clear of having to do a lot of labor. So why am I now looking at the very same work that I tried to stay away from?”

But that is not really the case. Even though a revision of a document, whether it is an ebook or article, surely involves the “same” type of actions (namely writing, editing, researching, etc.), the total amount of work is still much less than if one would do the whole lot from nothing.

Furthermore, you might not need to do all that rewriting and rearranging yourself either. You might use the help of other parties to finish off the editing process. Here are some possible alternatives so that you can get the rewriting of your PLR e-book or PLR article completed: (1) Make use of software; (2) Use a ghostwriter; (3) Call a guest blogger; (4) Do the editing yourself.

1. Utilizing Software Packages

There are software products in the market which can be used to rewrite (sometimes “spinning”) PLR articles and e-books to construct new ebooks and articles. But you must be very watchful. Some programs can modify the “feeling” of the article or ebook, or use poorly selected synonyms for words and terms that either may change your material into garbage or at least make it sound strange in some way.

It is therefore very important for you to always be sure to double-check “spinned” texts. You may need to manually edit the text further.

2. Using an External Writer

Appointing a professional freelancer to produce completely original material to a website might be almost impossible for a new website owner, given that really innovative material could be quite pricy.

Nevertheless, since you already have bought the Private Label Rights articles or ebooks, the task is not to write innovative material from scratch, but only to do a rewrite using different words and phrases, and possibly also elaborating on some of the arguments here and there.

It may be even better plan many small jobs at once, in order to get a better quote. Tell the freelancer to rewrite, say, 15 articles or 3 ebooks at a time, so that you can get a better price per paragraph or page.

3. Contact a Guest Blogger

Perhaps you would like to contact a guest blog writer to write on your blog? You might tell him or her that you have PLR material that he or she might draw on. In that manner you might be able to generate new content for your blog without you being forced to do any editing yourself.

The difficulty with this idea is, however, that the guest blogger may expect to get paid, or to obtain some other favour from you. Every deal is different, and you have assess the arrangement when you know what is on the table, to see whether or not it is worth it.

4. Doing It All by Yourself

If you are one of those who really love writing, then you might consider doing all of the editing work all on your own. If that is your thing, then you will not be overly panic-stricken by the amount of rewriting work that is needed, since you would know that it still is significantly less work than writing anything from scratch.

The benefit of doing the work yourself is that you have absolute control over the final outcome, both stylistically speaking and content-wise. Supposedly you also have direct knowledge of whatever subject matter it is that your articles and ebooks are covering, and hence you will probably be able to edit the private label rights texts quicker and better than a writer who doesn’t have your particular background and experience.

Conclusion

PLR articles and ebooks are great assets. But they must be substantially rewritten to be lucratively used in your business.

The good news is that you do not necessarily have to do all of the editing yourself (but the result may be better if you do do it). Additional ways to provide a modification of the PLR material may be to utilize some “spinning” software product, to contact freelance ghost writers, or to contact a guest blog writer.
