Easy Steps to Improve Your Article Writing

A lot of people think of article writing as a boring, laborious and tedious task, especially when they think that nobody would read the articles. But articles are supposed to be read, and share information. Knowing this, that should give you reasons to see writing not as a waste of time and effort.

People write articles so others can read them. It is important therefore to make sure that these articles are written well. And article writing doesn’t have to be to be strenuous and straining. The key here is to establish some points and guidelines in article writing. Once you learn the ropes, writing articles can be fun and profitable for your online business at the same time.

If you own a blog or website, article writing is the bread and butter of your online presence. Because you need to be knowledgeable about a topic when you write articles, it’s expected that you know a lot about the theme or topics of your website. When you start writing articles or content for your site, you will not find it a drag to write these articles because you know a lot about the topic. It’s just a matter of making your articles come alive with your creativity.

So how do you make your articles readable and interesting? Listed below are six good ideas to make sure your articles are read by your audience.

1) Use short paragraphs. When the paragraphs are incredibly long, the words get jumbled in the mind of the reader so that just by looking at it, they can be confusing and would tire them out easily. The reader will just quickly disregard the paragraphs in your article and look for articles that are easier to read. Some paragraphs can be a single sentence, and even a single word!

2) Use numbers or bullets. These are used to stress a point, enumerate a list or highlight ideas. A bullet points and numbers bullet help readers identify your key ideas in your articles and makes them easier to read. Bullet points also helps readers get your message in bite-size chunks that are easier to digest in the mind. Here’s an important tip: Format your bullets and numbers with indentations so that your article won’t look like a single block of square paragraphs. By doing this, you help break the monotony of an article which is just a large block of text.

3) Use subheadings to break your paragraphs. This will avoid the sea of text that could drown your user. Also by doing this, you would help the reader move from one point to another seamlessly because the sub headers introduce new ideas and help transition the flow of thoughts in the article; the transition would be smooth and straightforward. You will never lose your readers attention.

4) Provide a good attention-grabbing title or header. If your title can entice a person’s curiosity you’re already halfway in convincing the person to read your article. You can also use statements and questions use keywords that people use to find your article. Titles or headers must describe what your article is about and yet they need to also be concise and short.

Use titles that appeal to people’s emotions and needs for satisfaction. Titles like “Tips on making her want you more”, or “How to make her swoon and blush”. Also titles that offer solutions do work. like, “Make her yours in six effortless Ways”. These types of titles reach out to people’s need to satisfaction and solutions to their problems.

5) Keep them interested from the start to the finish. Tip: Use graphic metaphors and similes that would make it easy for readers to imagine what you might be talking about, making the experience pleasurable and enjoyable for them.

6) Use figures of speech when necessary. This will help avoid just ordinary and insipid statements. Make use of facts and figures to make your article authoritative. Also don’t make it too formal; make it conversational, as if you’re talking to a best friend.

How To Get Better At Writing Articles

Each of us writers wants to be able to churn out great quality articles but a lot of us just do not have a grip on how to go about it. Take a look at the following pointers and you will see that it can be actually easier than you thought.

The first thing that such a writer needs to do is to identify what exactly makes them a worthy writer and what cancels it out and brings them down. These things that make your writing poor are the ones that have to be gotten rid of immediately. Most of the times, it is just loss of concentration so find a way to concentrate on your work.

If you think one of your main strengths is finding and using information on the internet then make sure to build on it. Spend more time on your research than on the writing but make sure to write in the end.

The next thing that you have to do is to keep an open mind and an eye out for new things. You can never know everything so always stay alert so as to learn new things that will work out in your favor. Read as much material as you can.

The only way to improve your writing is by reading and learning from other people who have gone through the same things that you are going through now. There is so much around you that you can use to your advantage but only if you know about them.

If you come across any coaching programs do not be shy to enroll or keep up with them because any professional help is always a welcome thing. The good thing about all the information you can get today on the internet is that you no longer have to pay to subscribe for these programs.

They are a very good way of sharpening your skills and nowadays they do not even require that you subscribe to them.

This last tip has been there for ages and will never change because it is true: always practice.

Article Writing Templates – If You’ve Hit The Writers Block, Try These Tips

Everyone loves getting things done fast. Most push themselves too hard whereas some others use the smarter way and utilize tools and templates to increase their productivity. You will connect to what I have said above especially if you are a writer. Writing isnt a one-off task. It requires a lot of research, outlining, writing, proofreading and editing. It’s a monotonous process but one that can be simplified with a few systems and processes in place.

If you’re having difficulties writing articles, consider using article writing templates. Never heard of them? I’ll explain. Basically, article writing templates are pre-made article structures that can give you a good start on the writing part, no matter what the topic is. They aren’t topic-specific. In fact, they can be used in just about any writing assignment.

Now, don’t mistake templates for ‘readymade articles’ because they are not. They can only aid the process, not complete it by itself. After all, a tool is only as good as the person using it. Having said that, content templates are certainly a useful tool of any article writers toolbox.

Lets take a look at probably the most common articles templates:

The Q/A template: Q/A is short for question & answers here and it is exactly what it may sound like. Essentially, you write down a couple of questions that your target market might ask about the specific topic. Do your research work. In each paragraph, answer some of those questions in depth. There you go – a ready article for you!

The Bust Myths Template: Ill be honest – this is a little market specific as it wont work in all the markets. Still, with a bit of creativity; you can tweak the approach to make it work for yourself. What you basically do is collect a few common myths on the given topic; do reliable research work and bust those. This not only gives you an entire article, it also gives you an article that will pique your readers curiosity towards the various other pieces you may have penned.

Tips OR Advice Template: This is kind of a universal template. What we fundamentally do is gather some tips on any given topic, do your research work and develop on those tips. Assist people with their issues by either giving them the solution itself or otherwise a workaround.

There are tons more layouts similar to this that might spark one or two light bulbs within your brain. From today onwards, should you ever get stuck in your writing endeavors; article writing templates are your friend.
