How To Write Sales Letters That Sell Is The First Step To Online Sales.

Have the greatest product in the history of online marketing? Does everyone need your product you say? Well unless you know how to write sales letters that sell, your product will never reach your target market.

Men and women, boys and girls love stories. It is the same in the world of internet marketing. Tell someone a story and they will be more inclined to buy what you are selling. Television commercials insult people rather than tell them a story. Television commercials rely on being stupid to sell their products.

If you bore people with your sales letter they will click away. If you insult people with your sales letter they will click away. If people feel like you do not care about them they will click away.

Write your sales letter as if you were writing to a friend. In fact before you do anything else, write a letter to your friend. Explain in your letter how you came up with your product. Tell a story of how your product helped you or someone you know. Tell your friend why he or she should have the product and how your product can help them. Do not lecture your friend. Simply explain why your product will help make their life better.

Spend time on how your product has helped make your life better. But do not spend too much time on yourself. People want to know how your product will help them they are not so much interested in your life as much as they are their life.

With your letter to your friend you now have an outline to work from. But more importantly you now are in practice of speaking to your reader as an individual. Your reader does not want to know how you are offering your product to the world. Your reader wants to know you are offering your product to him or to her. Make it personal.

Tell a story about someone who has used or benefited from your product. A story has a beginning, middle, and an ending. And because the person used your product, it is a happy ending.

Do you have a testimonial? If so, include it in your sales letter. But do not make up a testimonial. This would be misrepresentation and you could have trouble with the law.

But you can develop a basic outline from what is out there and then work your product into your outline. Tell a story, make it personal, and do not insult the reader, and you will be on your way to a great sales letter.
